The Weekend Slate

I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving went well. The picks on the last Post are on track to either break even or be up one unit depending on the late night games today (Friday). I know everyone is spending money like crazy between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So I am trying my nest here to allow you all to make some money back. If you don’t know what to get your family for the holidays, one stop shop at the TFM store. Granny would rock a Glory Days T-shirt.
I am going to start with Saturday’s football slate and then transition to the weekend of college basketball.
Penn State @ Michigan (-1) O/U 58.5
Penn State is off to the worst start in program history at 0-5. Michigan is not having a great season compared to where they usually are at this late in the season either. I do like Michigan here though. Penn State is struggling too much to go into the Big House and come out with a victory.
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State (11) O/U 54
Texas Tech is having a very inconsistent season this year. They are 3-5 with and without the spread. Oklahoma State is a good team with two tough losses in rivalry games. They got absolutely embarrassed last week by Oklahoma. There is no way Mike Gundy and that perfect mullet are going to lose back to back games. They will be ready to play. I am buying the point and taking the Cowboys.
Kent State @ Buffalo (-7.5) O/U 69
That is a nice over/under. Both teams are on top of the MAC East at 3-0. I can see a lot of people taking this over knowing that both teams have great offenses. Here’s the thing. You need to look at who these teams played previously. They were playing subpar teams and winning by 30+. I feel like this game will be much closer. Buffalo is going use its run game to keep the ball out of Dustin Crum’s hands. It should be a lower scoring game for Kent compared to their first three games. Kent has put up 60+ points in every game so far. I think this one will be around 38-28 when the clocks hit zeros. Possible teaser Buffalo -1 and Under 76.
San Diego State @ Colorado (-3)
This game will be another close one but I think Colorado will have the edge on this one. I would buy the half point to be on the safe side. This will be a battle of grit. The O/U hasn’t been set yet, but if its in the low 50s. I am taking that too.
Utah @ Washington (-6.5)
Washington looks like a team you don’t want to mess with right know. They have looked great in all three phases of the game in both of their games so far. I like Washington to keep on rolling and win this one.
LSU @ Texas A&M (13.5)
Gig Em! If this spread was any more than 14 I would not feel as confident in this game. Texas A&M is a hell of a team this year. Their only loss on the years was to Alabama. LSU has been on a Win Lose pattern all year. Guess what? They won last week so they are do for a loss. So what you can do is hammer the moneyline -500 with multiple units or you can buy a point to keep it below 14.
Basketball:
Virginia Tech @ Villinova (-9)
Utah Valley @ BYU (-17)
Notre Dame @ Michigan State (-10)
