Kardashians Couldn’t Keep Up With Themselves

September 8th, 2020 will go down in history as it is the day that Queen Kim herself made the announcement that our beloved Keeping Up With The Kardashians has been cancelled. I know, I know… Go ahead, I’ll give you a moment to process this information.

I’ll admit it, I’ve indulged in my fair share of KUWTK episodes. It’s nice to see what they’re up to from time to time and obviously the DRAMA… come on. To all of our dismay, after 14 years, 20 successful seasons, and numerous spin off shows their last season will air early next year in 2021. As a shock to all, the cancellation of the series has brought us all wondering the same thing: why?

The first and most obvious reason: Kanye. What the hell is going on with him, huh? In the midst of his mental health crisis and presidential campaign, it’s rumored that Kim had severe reservations in including Kanye and his mental health to the show. For good reason of course, I don’t blame her. But let’s face it, what would KUWTK be without Kanye?

Another reason is the fact that they’re just getting too famous. When the show first aired, they were still climbing that damn ladder. What a time that was… a time pre-plastic surgery. Kim was taking selfies while Khloe was going to jail, Kourtney literally could not keep her savergy to herself (plus she was still with Scott, miss them), and Kendall and Kylie were unrecognisable little brats. As time went on, the more famous they got and the bigger the drama. It’s known that the devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder. Unfortunately, social media also skyrocketed in the midst of their show. People already knew what was going to happen on the show before it even aired.

In conclusion, I know it’s a sad day for all. But don’t worry. We’re all in this together. They’re not going anywhere and they’re still posting now more than ever. I even look forward to keeping a close eye on Stormi through Kylie’s instagram story. Bible.
