Tyler Herro Is The New King Of Being Irrationally Confident

Every year there is a player who thinks he is the best player on the court. This player can get buckets in a split second, but can also air ball 3s just as well. As a fan it’s a love hate relationship between these players, when they’re going on runs you believe they are the GOAT, but when their cold and bricking everything you hate them more than Cardi B hates DAP(Dry Ass Pussy). Even shot you can hear the echo of fans screaming “no, no, no, yes,” as these players jack up shots they have no right to take, but somehow makes the shot. Players like JR Smith, Dion Waiters, and Nick Young have been the kings of the irrationally confident players. Nick Young has had games when he scored 43 points on 1/10/11 against the Kings, but then on 1/12/11 when the Wizards played the TWolves Young scored 15 points.
JR Smith went from winning the 6th man of the year award in 2012-2013. When he averaged 18 points a game, and was a walking bucket as soon as he got off the bench. Then a couple of years later he was barely averaging double digits. Watching JR while he was on the Cavs you would never know that he averaged only 8 points per game. Every shot he took he thought was going in, and wasn’t afraid to shoot anything.
Dion Waiters has people in the media saying that they live on Waiters Island. Where they fully believe that he is a great player, and it doesn’t matter that he has bounced from 4 teams in 6 years. Dion has always shown flashes where he can score like a motherfucker. He has averaged 15ppg, but now on the Lakers he can barely get playing time.
Now the new king of being irrationally confident is Tyler Herro. The real question is can Herro become a star or will he be a Young, Smith, or Waiter? Last night Herro looked like he has become a star as he scored 37 points against the Celtics during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Herro was hitting everything from deep 3s, to driving to the paint in traffic. As a rookie Herro is doing things that other rookies have never done. Herro broke Dwayne Wade’s record for the most points by a rookie for the Heat franchise. Rookies who played at least 13 playoff games Herro’s 16.5 points per game ranks fifth in NBA history.
This isn’t a surprise to Tyler Herro he has always been this confident. He decommited from Wisconsin and went to Kentucky, which is unheard of from a player that is from Wisconsin. Herro averaged 14 ppg for Kentucky, and was drafted 13th by the Miami Heat.
Other younger players have shriveled up with Jimmy Butler as their teammates. Looking at you Karl Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, and Ben Simmons. This isn’t the case for the Miami Heat as Herro isn’t afraid to go at Butler. During practice Herro and Butler go 1 on 1, and don’t hold anything back. Butler’s leadership has greatly impacted Herro, after the game 4 win Herro said that all he wants to do is win for Jimmy.
Not only is Herro insanely confident on the court, but just as confident off the court. Everyone remembers during quarantine when Herro started to rock the braids. Then as other players didn’t want to bring girlfriends or wives to the bubble, Herro wasn’t afraid to bring Katya Elise Henry, who is Herro’s “girlfriend”. She is a smoke show and Instagram model with 8 million followers.
Tyler Herro’s confidence continues to shine on and off the court.
